We pick the trail back up outside of Kanosh, UT.

And discovered that the road is covered with Mormon Crickets.

Gross looking creatures... Seem to want to be run over.
We make our way across the emptiness,

And pass by Sevier Lake (dry).

Looming on the horizon all morning has been Crystal Peak, and now we are closing in on it.

Looks to be just plain old limestone up close.

And then we make a straight shot across the valley floor.

Getting closer to town, but we manage to get ourselves a bit lost (again) searching for the faint 2-track road.

Eventually we find the road into town, fuel up, and head back out to knock some more miles off the trail.

We follow a road along the fence line, which happens to be the border between Utah and Nevada.

We have to re-route a couple of sections due to flooding from snow melt run-off.

An interesting find...

And I've got an idea why the grass is greener near the base.

Of course, our days are never complete without this:

Tomorrow we will pick back up on the trail and follow it to Eureka, NV. It will be our last day on the TAT, as it turns North from this point, and we are continuing West to San Francisco, CA.
