Riding the Paiute Trail

The plan today was to take it easy. We had a long breakfast, did some laundry in town, then loaded up the bikes to head back out on the trail.



It was probably close to noon when we headed out of Salina, UT.



We followed the canal out of town.



Got a little lost again when we followed the wrong tracks.





But after a bit of bushwacking, we got back on route.




We had a quick stop in Richfield, UT to fill up the tanks, and the ibuprofen.



Then headed out of town on the Paiute Trail.









And the highlight on the day for Nikki.



The trail didn't let us out without a little work, in the form of ruts, mud, loose rocks, sharp switchbacks (or a combination of all).





Tomorrow we start crossing the Great Basin and it's many ranges and valleys.
